• The Luminary was built by a partnership between a local family business and the Shiloh Baptist Church, one of the oldest black churches in the city and located just next door. This means that your rent dollars stay in the community, rather than going to some out-of-town corporate developer. Every member of the management team lives in the Bronzeville King Lincoln neighborhood. This allows us to provide a more personalized experience, quicker response times, and heightened sensitivity to your needs. We also try to ensure that as a new building, we are an additive part of the historic neighborhood that surrounds it.

    All interested residents will need to fill out an application and credit screening. There is a $50 application processing fee.

  • To qualify for application approval, we look for:
    • A minimum credit score of 620
    • A clear criminal background • A positive rental history
    • An income that is at least three times your rent

  • Rent includes:
    • Fitness center, rooftop terrace, and comfortable lobby
    • Trash
    • Recycling

    Tenants pay separately for:
    • Electricity (through AEP)
    • Water
    • On-site parking (+$35/mo)
